Bonefish Grill: Active-duty personnel, veterans and first responders get 10% off every day at Bonefish Grill with a valid ID.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Active-duty personnel and veterans can get 10 boneless wings and a portion of fries for free on Thursday. Valid for dine-in or takeout, online ordering excluded. Proof of service required.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill: Active-duty personnel, veterans and first responders get 10% off every day at Carrabba’s with a valid ID.

Chili’s: Active-duty personnel and veterans can get a free meal on Thursday at participating Chili’s Grill & Bar restaurants. Dine-in only.

Denny’s: Active-duty personnel and veterans can get a free “Build Your Own Grand Slam” from 5 a.m. to noon on Thursday at participating locations. Dine-in only with valid ID.

Dunkin’: Active-duty personnel and veterans can get a free doughnut of their choice on Thursday at participating Dunkin’ restaurants. There is no purchase necessary. The offer is available in-store only and no ID is required. Not available for orders placed using on-the-go mobile ordering through the Dunkin’ Mobile App.

Golden Corral: Active-duty personnel and veterans can get a free meal from 5 p.m. to close on Thursday. Dine-in only.

Hooters: Active-duty personnel and veterans can get a free entree from the Hooters Veterans Day menu on Thursday. Must present ID or proof of service and purchase a beverage.

IHOP: Active-duty personnel and veterans can get free red, white and blueberry pancakes from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday at participating locations. Dine-in only. Proof of service or ID required.

Little Caesars: Active-duty personnel and veterans can get a free Hot-N-Ready Lunch Combo at participating restaurants from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursday.

Menchie’s: Active-duty personnel and veterans can get 6 ounces of frozen yogurt for free on Thursday at participating locations. Must show valid military ID or proof of service.

Pilot Flying J Company: Active-duty personnel and veterans can get a $10 free meal credit on Thursday. The company is using ID.me to verify eligibility in the myRewards Plus app. After signing up with ID.me, service members will automatically receive a 10% discount on food and beverages when using the app.

Red Lobster: Active-duty personnel and veterans can get a free appetizer or dessert from a special menu on Thursday. Military ID or other proof of service required.

Starbucks: Active-duty personnel and veterans can get a free tall (12-oz) hot brewed coffee at participating U.S. Starbucks stores. Offer valid on cafe and drive thru orders only. Limit one per customer.

Texas Roadhouse: The restaurant chain will distribute meal vouchers in the parking lot between 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursday. The vouchers will be valid through May 30, 2022. They can be redeemed for one of 10 entrees, plus a choice of certain drinks. Vouchers can be redeemed when the restaurants open for dinner. Proof of service is required.

Bed, Bath and Beyond, 1605 Fall River Drive, Loveland — Veterans, active-duty and military spouses will receive 25% off of their entire online or in-store purchase.

Dollar General, 1412 8th Ave., Greeley — Veterans, active-duty military and their families can receive a 20% discount on online and in-store purchases.

Lowe’s Military Discount Program to Activate Your 10% Discount

Luker Dental, 1829 56th Ave., Suite B, Greeley — The dental office is hosting Smiles for Soldiers from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. which will give free dental care to veterans. Treatment services offered are exams, x-rays, cleaning, fillings, root canals and extractions. Appointments are recommended and can be done by calling (970) 351-0400.

Sports Clips, 4711 W. 29th St., Unit B, Greeley — Veterans and active-duty service members can get their dos done for free at the salon.

Target, 4400 Centerplace Drive, Greeley — From Oct. 31n through Nov. 13 veteran, active-duty personnel and their family members can take advantage of a 10% discount on online and in-store purchases.

Tractor Supply Company, 3015 S. 23rd Ave., Greeley — Active-duty military members, veterans and their dependants will received a 15% discount on items.

 

 

Events

Loveland’s annual Veterans Day Parade, complete with floats, classic cars and marching bands, will step off at 11:11 a.m. at 4th Street and Railroad Avenue. The parade will travel northwest and end at Dwayne Webster Veterans Park. (Source The Greeley Tribune)

Fort Collins: A Salute to Vietnam War Veterans

Where: Veterans Plaza in Spring Canyon Community Park, 2626 W. Horsetooth Road, Fort Collins, CO

When: Daily through Monday

As the temporary home of a traveling 360-foot traveling Vietnam War memorial wall, Fort Collins' Veterans Plaza is hosting a range of veteran-focused events this Memorial Day weekend. The thousands of names on the memorial wall will be read off daily starting at 7 a.m.

On Sunday, vendors benefiting veterans will be at the plaza from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and food trucks will be stationed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. From noon to 1 p.m. Sunday, an official ceremony will include a "missing man" table, a speech from Vietnam War prisoner of war Robert Wideman and a Huey helicopter flyover.   (Source: The Coloradoan)

Windsor: Ceremony at Lakeview Cemetery

Where: Lakeview Cemetery, 32815 Colorado Highway 257, Windsor

When: 9 a.m. Monday

The Town of Windsor and its American Legion Post 109 will honor the military personnel laid to rest in the town's Lakeview Cemetery with a ceremony starting at 9 a.m. Memorial Day. The ceremony will include remarks from Mayor Paul Rennemeyer and the placement of a memorial wreath by the American Legion.   (Source: The Coloradoan)

Wellington: November 10 – 14, 2021,’ The Global War on Terror Wall of Remembrance’ will be in Wellington, set up near the corner of 1st and Cleveland Ave., near 3700 W. Cleveland Ave. The names on this Wall come from the Global War on Terror, victims, and heroes, who lost their lives on 9/11, and the military called to duty and paid the ultimate price.  

There will be events happening Wednesday through Sunday while the Wall is in town. 

The Opening Ceremony is 1 pm on Wednesday, November 10, with a cake cutting for the Marine Corps Birthday scheduled for 5:30p. 

Veterans Day starts with a Presentation of Colors and the Pledge of Allegiance at 8 am, military flyover during the day, Roll calls and Taps are at 5:30 pm, and Chili Cookoff starts at 6:30 pm. 

The event is free, and donations are appreciated. The Wall remains on display and opens with a presentation Friday through Sunday at 8:00 am. On Sunday, there will be a pancake breakfast and a closing ceremony scheduled for 2 pm.

Greeley: Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. at Bittersweet Park located at 16th Street and 35th Avenue in Greeley.  Community members of all ages are invited to attend. This year’s program is dedicated to the younger generation of military members who have served in conflicts from 1990 to current day.

Master of Ceremonies Shawn Harmer will start the event, followed by the presentation of Colors by the Northridge High School Marine Corps. and Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps.

Gerry McFarling will sing the National Anthem and John Musil from Living Grace Baptist Church will give the invocation for the event.

A proclamation by the mayor as well as guest speakers will also take place during the ceremony.

Boulder: The UMC and Veteran and Military Affairs invites adults, teens and children of all ages to attend its Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. in the UMC Ballroom at 1669 Euclid Ave., Boulder. The event will feature a speech by Admiral Bill McRaven, US. Navy Ret., the ROTC Color Guard and a performance by the CU Buffoons. Aurora: The Colorado Freedom Memorial will be hosting the 6th Annual Light Their Way Home luminaria display from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at 756 Telluride St., Aurora. The event will feature guest speakers along with 6,218 glass luminaries on display, one for each veteran killed in actions since Colorado’s statehood in 1876.
